Welcome to the CCV Survey - Moving To A Greener World

The subject of this survey is the elimination of the printed CCV Membership Directories that are mailed out shortly after the new MembershipYear begins. For years, the club policy was to include a Membership Directory with every new member or renewal. However, a few years ago, to help reduce waste as well as to reduce costs, the policy was changed to only send out printed directories to those members that had joined/renewed prior to July 1st - those were the members that actually appeared in the membership directory.

Last year, an online Membership Directory was introduced. In addition to making an updated equivalent to the printed Membership Directory available in PDF format, an interactive webpage listing of members was made available.

Earlier in 2010, an added feature was made to the webpage edition of the Member Directory: you were now able to sort on originating province in Canada.

In the near future, the Executive Committee will be making a decision regarding the future of printed Membership Directories. Arguments have been made that we need to embrace a greener world, that the printed directories are outdated before the members even receive them, and that the cost of the printing/mailing is not worth it. We are looking for your opinion before we make our decision.

If the decision was up to me, as far as the printed Membership Directories, I would:

Save The Environment - don't print them anymore Save The Club Money - don't print them and use the saved money to keep membership costs down Web Is Better - don't print themas the web edition is always up-to-date Compromise - Make it an individual choice Keep Printing - I like having my printed copy handy Don't Care - I just like filling out surveys
